Logan may have loved Greg, but it remains to be seen how much power he is willing to give Egg. The media titan has openly wanted Roman to take over ATN in his final days and will eventually grant his wish with a side of Shiv and Kendall. Unfortunately, although all signs point directly to the ground, it is not possible to say in which direction they will direct the company.
With the old guards pushing them off and the Waystar sale looming, there are lots of high-powered jobs the Roy brothers can do. The only good thing Greg has done for him is that he’s not Tom. He knows all the details of ATN in a way that Logan’s children don’t, and they can count on him to take a senior position if that means upholding their father’s wishes and gaining a loyal servant who is already in prison. Once again, Greg’s humble nature may be to his advantage.
Greg tries to appeal to the brothers before the deadly post-mortem board meeting, but they reject his advances. Will they accept him now that they know Logan will almost write it in his will? If the audience – or Greg – gets some clarity about his position on that piece of paper, it could completely change the game. He may have anything from a small trump to a full checkmate, but we’ll have to wait and see. Whatever Logan writes in pencil and question mark is completely pointless unless Greg learns how to use it.
